Ministries
At Wading River Congregational Church, our ministries are how we live out our faith and serve our community.
From Grief Share to our food pantry and outreach efforts, each ministry reflects our commitment to sharing God’s love in practical, meaningful ways.
Children/Youth Ministries

Youth Group
Our youth group meets monthly for a combination of fun fellowship and a simple gospel message put together by our teen youth group leader.

Sunday School
Each Sunday we provide a program geared toward children. Everyone begins worship together in the sanctuary. A short while into the service, children through 8th grade leave for a program designed specifically for them. We utilize a one room Sunday school model with the Celebrate Wonder curriculum from Cokesbury. For children under 3, we have a nursery/playroom where children are safe and cared for while learning simple Bible stories.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Each July, Wading River Congregational Church provides a week of Vacation Bible School for our church and broader community.
Kids experience the love of Jesus and simple Bible messages through high energy songs, games, hands on maker station like activities, participatory drama and short videos of kids around the world sharing stories of their lives consistent with the messages.
Church Ministries

Men's Ministry
WRCC maintains a thriving men’s ministry to aid men in navigating the world around them. Apart from monthly meetings over breakfast, the men of WRCC participate in activities, study the Bible, and engage in work projects around the church and in the homes of those who need us.

Women's Ministry
WRCC has active women’s ministry programs that intermingle with our other church activities. An annual spring women’s retreat and a weekly prayer group/Bible Study are the foundation of a growing group of women that walk with each other and the Lord through life’s joys and challenges.

Senior's Ministry
Each month our seniors gather for the Senior’s Luncheon on the 2nd Thursday of each month. All senior adults are invited to join us for lunch, fellowship, and a time singing hymns or sharing devotions.
We’re always looking for ways to help and serve our seniors. If you’re looking for support with transportation to church or for errands around town, or if there are other ways we can help, please contact the church.

Bible Studies
WRCC Bible Study Groups meet regularly in small groups to build friendships and grow our faith together. Sometimes they also share a meal or connect for additional fellowship times. Consider giving one a try. There are multiple groups that meet at different places and different times.

Fiber Fellowship
This fun ministry is facilitated by creative women but open to all who are willing to learn and enjoy laughter and fellowship. Meetings are Tuesday mornings at the church. Crafts and projects of all types are created and then donated to ministries both locally and around the globe. Materials and ideas are provided.

Community Outreach / Food Pantry
Our Community Outreach program provides information and connections to local ministries who need hands-on support.
Wading River Congregational Church maintains a small yet carefully stocked food pantry filled with a variety of non-perishable food items, ensuring community members in need have access to essential groceries.

Grief Share
GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group designed to help you rebuild your life. We know it hurts, and we want to help. Each week we view a video seminar that provides real guidance on processing grief from trained counselors, pastors, and people just like you who have experienced the loss of a spouse, sibling, or child first-hand. Then we take to discuss what we’ve learned and how it can, as well as resources to help throughout the week.
This group will provide real help and guidance for finding hope in grief. If you’re struggling with grief, whether due to a recent loss or something from your past, come and join us.
